About

Innocence Found is a non-profit corporation created to support the work of Ukrainian organizations devoted to locating and returning Ukrainian children kidnapped by the Russian Federation during the course of Russia's ongoing invasion and occupation of Ukraine.

Core Mission

The continuing tragedy in Ukraine has resulted in an unknown number of Ukrainian children forcibly taken from their families and from Ukrainian orphanages by the Russian military.
Because of a lack of reliable information in the temporarily occupied territories, the exact number of missing children is difficult to know. Estimates range anywhere
Ukrainian children are then sent to Russia for "protection" or "medical treatment." Soon told their families have abandoned them, many are then either put up for illegal adoption or interned in camps for "re-education" and Russification. All of this is explicitly forbidden in international law and is regarded as war crimes.
The intensive task of first locating these children, followed by the sensitive process of arranging for their return is handled by a dedicated team of analysts and representatives authorized to conduct this work. Innocence Found has committed to supporting the expansion of this team and the resources needed to perform this urgent work.
We can think of no more important work than the reunification of children with their families. Innocence Found is dedicated to this singular goal.

financial

Innocence Found will provide financial support to organizations whose staff conducts the work of finding children, arranging their return, and reuniting them with their families.
This financial support delivers a meaningful expansion of the staff's ability to track down and return Ukrainian children. With aid for everything from additional analysts and sharper software tools to the nuts-and-bolts logistics of bringing children home, Innocence Found consolidates and manages donations so they have maximum effectiveness.
With Ukraine reeling from constant attacks on its infrastructure, from power to water, budgets are stretched and broken. The work of entities such as the Ukrainian Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights is doing heroic work with a fraction of what it needs. As a result, every day that a child is not found and returned to their parents is a day in which that child becomes more and more difficult to reach. Time is of the essence.
Often, acting quickly is the best chance of returning children to their families. Innocence Found strives to be an agile partner in the effort to bring Ukrainian children home.

resources

We must close the gap between goals and resources.
The Ukrainian Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights works daily to locate the countless missing Ukrainian children. However, in this desperate time, resources are scarce.
Locating children deliberately hidden in the shadows of Russia and the temporarily occupied territories requires a robust team of analysts who use Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) as well as monitoring social media channels for clues and evidence. Innocence Found supports the development of more powerful software tools as well as the specialists to use it effectively.
Offices in every oblast are required in order to have more efficient access to public records and other sources that can help understand who is missing and where they may be. Funding for these efforts is scarce when the demands of national defense and the maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure often take priority.

Specific

While Innocence Found is devoted to the support of this specific effort, other charitable projects related to the ongoing care of returned children and POW's may be included in the non-profit's purview as its reach develops.
Innocence Found will only take on projects that directly help Ukrainian children.
